The Devils kicked off there first game of the season against the Washington Capitals this one was all the Capitals all at first leading 3-1 , New Jersey would get back on the board with some crazy short handed goals , This game would get crazier with a 4-3 Capitals lead with 3 mintues left in the third the Devils go up on the power play and Iyla Kovalchuck shows his magic one on one and makes it 4-4, Sending this one to OT . Right off the face-off Travis Zajac gets a breakaway and ends this one 5-4 win for the Devils , Great way to open up the season

Ales Hemsky & Ryan Whitney & Ben Eager

We followed up with Ales , Ryan and Ben , They are all thrilled to be in the Devils organization . When we interview Ales Hemsky he told the press he is very excited to skake along side his Czech team mate Patrick Elias, Hemsky will add a good core to this group and his speed will make things interesting . Ryan Whitney coming into New Jersey with one year left on his contract will he re-sign with the Devils or will he part ways . When we asked Ryan he said '' Its to early to talk about contracts , I wanna come into New Jersey to play hockey and add my performance and skills to this team '' Whitney will be paired up with Marek Zidlicky or Anton Volchecnkov . Ben Eager looked nervous in his press conference as the picture above shows you '' I am not a big fan of moving place to place but I know what my role here in New Jersey is and that is to protect my star players '' The Devils will part ways with defensemen Adam Larrson , Danuis Zubrus and Vladmir Zharkov who are heading to Edmonton

The Devils also released there team capitan will be Iyla Kovalchuck.

The Devils also made some free agency offers but will not say who they offered contracts too .

Stay Tuned.
